Installing Check Scanner
	I have run into a strange error message when trying to install check scanning software on a workstation. The error message reads: failure to install hive file WROOT_WSYSTEM/(null) Any suggestions? system environment not inherited by some cmd windows

Using XP Pro SP3, if I set a variable with setx, then open a new cmd window and type set, the variable is shown. But if I open a new cmd window by right-clicking a folder and selecting "command prompt", the window does not inherit system variables set earlier in the same session. Processes querying HKU "load" locations

Hi, Is it normal for processes to query the "load" location in user subkeys (e.g., HKU\S-1-5-21-xxxxxxx\Software\ Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\load )?
