And then there's this: The private developers who have proposed the
land swap are Scientologists.
That has led some people to speculate that Triangle Development's real
plan is to secure the current PSTA site on Park Street for Church of
Scientology expansion. Three of Scientology's key holdings in downtown
Clearwater - its massive and unfinished Super Power Building, the Fort
Harrison Hotel and the Coachman Building - ring the PSTA site.
