"Especially in southern Germany, some offal varieties are served in regional cuisine. The Bavarian expression Kronfleischküche includes skirt steak and other offal as well, e.g. Milzwurst, a sausage containg small pieces of spleen and even dishes based on udder. Liver is part of different recipes, such as some sorts of Knödel and Spätzle, and in Liverwurst. As a main dish, together with cooked sliced apple and onion rings, liver (Leber Berliner Art, liver Berlin style) is a famous recipe from the German capital. Helmut Kohl's preference for Saumagen was a challenge to various political visitors during his terms as German Chancellor. Markklößchen are small dumplings made with bone marrow; they are served as part of Hochzeitssuppe (wedding soup), a soup served at marriages in some German regions. In Bavaria, lung stew is served with Knödel, dumplings."
Proper haggis is actually very nice, it's a shame you americans can't get it because of the BSE import ban; Paul Haggis is pretty OK too!

An old Voortrekker wisdom says: What won't kill you will make you fat. (Wat nie dood maak nie maak vet).
There is no reason why animal muscle tissue should be superior to inner organs as far as nutrition is concered. I have heard that pigs liver is full of valuable substances.
> I'd rather eat haggis and live. > Are you generally picky about what you eat?
Of course. Meat is really not the best food for humans and its kind of canibalistic too. After all, animals are thetans or parts of destroyed thetans and whenever you kill them in their bodies, they are getting a new engram. That is not kind.
The impostor of L. Ron Hubbard was a meat guy but original Scientology per the original L. Ron Hubbard was vegetarian.
And do not say that it is boring food. A great vegetarian cusine is not just was healthier than other cusine, it taste even better.
If you drank soymilk for a while and than you try milk again, milk turns you off. Soymilk tastes a lot better...
What you do not know about the original L. Ron Hubbard is that he was a gourmet vegetarian.

A kidnapped American is not German.
I have not eaten German in two decades, and I don't miss German food even a bit.
All that food that you listed, I didn't even eat in Germany.
Sorry to disappoint you. I am the ultimate Non-German.
Do you know a vegetarian Haggis receipe? I may try it. But this meat blood Haggis is just to bloody for me.
BTW, I even like the English food better than the German.
Your cheese, milk is rather tasty, so are your pastries and the chips are awesome.
I remember, in East Grinstead, I once bought fish and chips. He wrapped all in a newpaper, big chips with the skin still on it, the fish was soft and crispy and on top he put a huge pickled onion. It was funny looking but tasted really good.
I cook nothing German at all. When I cook something, it is from any other country in the world.

both snails AND frog legs are wonderful when properly done. But probably not together :)
> I'd rather eat haggis and live. > Are you generally picky about what you eat?
Of course. Meat is really not the best food for humans and its kind of canibalistic too.
Hmmm. Is it? I thought cannibals are people who eat humans.
After all, animals are thetans or parts of destroyed thetans and whenever you kill them in their bodies, they are getting a new engram. That is not kind.
Is it kind to fell a tree? Anyway, you can't eat thetans.
The impostor of L. Ron Hubbard was a meat guy but original Scientology per the original L. Ron Hubbard was vegetarian.
Did the impostor write Dianetics?
And do not say that it is boring food. A great vegetarian cusine is not just was healthier than other cusine, it taste even better.
Yeah. I love vegatarian food. But I also love meat. Meat tastes completely different and contains important substances that are not found in other foods.
What you do not know about the original L. Ron Hubbard is that he was a gourmet vegetarian.
I never heard that anywhere. Can you name your sources? And would that make him a better human being? Hitler is also said to have been a vegetarian. And we all know about him.

Good point, though he wasn't a strict vegetarian (he ate eggs and the occasional sausage). Hitler also used alcohol only sparingly and infrequently, and was strongly against smoking. The Nazis conducted a massive anti-smoking campaign and enacted regulation similar to the restrictions implemented over the last decade in the US and some European countries.
By contrast, Hubbard was a pretty heavy drinker, and a chain smoker of unfiltered Kools who promoted smoking as beneficial. But of course, that was the doppelganger, Jack, not Barbara's father.

Dunno bout that. I mean, she's basically a good person- of that I have no doubt- but she's caused me some problems such as going behind my back and telling people that I was OSA- which I found out years later and for which she's never apologized. And jumping down my throat about avatars, nicks, demanding certain information, etc. When she wants to be a dick, she can be. If she doesn't approve of someone, she interferes and can make it rather unpleasant for them- and I'm not the only one to experience something along those lines. C

Guess by eating that stuff the French became too weak to fight the Nazis back in the 40s.

Never tried a snail leg? That is what French people eat when they are on a diet. ;)

I am a confessed nectarine thief not a convicted one. I never denied that I took them. But as I said, I could not work in this country and got nothing to eat. C of S kicked me out and worked together with psychs. I am not proud of it but I had not eaten for 2 weeks and was hungry.
You hacked into Los Alamos computers not for being hungry.
But if it helps, I would have rather eaten the Haggis if I would have had some.
But I had nothing back then. No cent anymore. I could not trust my family back then, had no friend, was competely alone with the German secret service in pursuit.
The food banks gave me a bag of uncooked rice. I had no stove.
The soup kitchen poured something in the food that they gave me that made me commit anything that they gave me to eat.
